The BPC and the Pharmaceutical Journal are delighted to bring you the BPC-PJ Careers Forum which will run for all three days of the BPC 2007 conference - from the 10th to 12th of September, and will take place in the Manchester G-mex exhibition hall.

The BPC-PJ Careers Forum will demonstrate to pharmacy students, pre-registration and fully qualified pharmacists the range of opportunities available in the rapidly evolving community and hospital pharmacy sectors.

To attend the BPC-PJ Careers Forum you must pre-register and bring along photo ID on the day.

How to register your interest in being interviewed
If you wish to be considered for interview at the BPC-PJ Careers Forum, please download the application form, complete and email back to Chris Hanney at channey@health-links.co.uk

Your details (with no contact information) will then be circulated to all the companies taking part in the BPC-PJ Careers Forum, and we will arrange interviews at mutually convenient times, should those companies wish to see you.

The BPC-PJ Careers Forum Reception    
There will be a Careers Forum reception on Tuesday lunchtime between 12.45 and 13.20 in Careers Forum Room 1. Representatives from our sponsoring companies will be there as will officers from the Society. You will be able to pick up your sandwich in the room, rather than queuing at the main catering points. Go to the Careers Forum desk to pick up your ticket. There will be a strictly limited number of tickets available, so please don’t delay.    
     
Ask the Editor – a round table discussion    
Join Olivia Timbs, editor of The Pharmaceutical Journal, and special guests as they discuss the ongoing evolution of the pharmacy profession on Tuesday lunchtime in Careers Forum Room 2 between 13.20 and 14.00, after the reception. Get there in good time as places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.    
     
Careers in Industry
On Wednesday lunchtime between 13:00 and 13:45 representatives of our industry sponsors will discuss how emerging technologies and other key challenges and  opportunities facing the industry over the next few years are impacting on their human resources requirements.
   
     
Company presentations and careers advice surgeries    
Our Platinum Sponsors, Silver Sponsor Lloydspharmacy and the MHRA will be offering company presentations and/or careers advice surgeries over the three days. The purpose of the surgeries is to help job hunters with the mechanics of job-seeking by giving them a clearer idea of their requirements and by explaining how to best approach them.
